Whether it was dissecting a nurse shark, watching episodes of "Voyage of the Mimi," or taking a field trip to Arkona, Ontario, to look at rocks, James Schultz’s Brookside science classes always seemed to have fun.
Schultz began working at Brookside in 1977 as a science and humanities instructor. Lizards, snakes and insects slithered around in cages as Schultz instructed fourth- and fifth-graders in the field of paleontology or beekeeping. Schultz gave students a front row seat to the world of science and nature for more than 25 years.
