For more than 20 years, Margaret Houston was instrumental in sustaining a competitive, but enjoyable athletics atmosphere at Kingswood School.

In addition to teaching physical education courses, Houston coached students in various sports, including field hockey, tennis, basketball, bowling, badminton and lacrosse.

She was known as promoter of fair play, and stressed teamwork among her students.
