Debra Himelhoch taught first grade for 13 years prior to teaching second grade. She has also taught junior kindergarten and kindergarten.

Himelhoch served as co-chair for the All Schools' Faculty Council for three years, as well as chair of Brookside's Faculty Council.

She plays guitar, loves to read and is a member of a theater group called the Ridgedale Players.
