Adele Halladay
Adele Halladay left Cranbrook and Kingswood students prepared for the working world by teaching them the invaluable skill of typing for 28 years.

Halladay first arrived at Cranbrook in 1946 with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in business education from the University of Michigan. She worked at Cranbrook School for eight years before moving to Kingswood.

Halladay was a strong proponent of instituting electric typewriters into the school, and made sure her pupils kept their eyes off the keys.
