Beatrix Fuzet-Przekop
Throughout her career, Beatrix Fuzet-Przekop has integrated her strong passion for music and the arts into her language instruction.

Since her arrival in 1982, Fuzet-Przekop has implemented social activities that promote improvement in language skills and increase awareness of the community’s offerings. Most notably, she started and is the advisor to the French Club, which remains one of the most active groups on campus. Students who belong to the club are frequently exposed to learning environments outside the classroom, attending French operas or visiting French art exhibitions.

Fuzet-Przekop has also been a longtime supervisor in Kingswood dorms and instructs Tai Chi in the intramurals program.

Madame Fuzet helped me to have such a great appreciation for the French language and helped me to develop a love of French culture that will be with me forever. She was a passionate mentor who exposed me to french, film, music, art and plays in ways that I will never forget.

It is hard to overestimate how very much both Batrix Fuzet and Anna Speck influenced my development as a physical, intellectual, and spiritual person. Both inspired in me a love of learning and a passion for intellectual inquiry that will reamain for me for the rest of my life. Taking Tai Chi with Madame Fuzet helped me to realize how strongly linked the life of the mind is with the life of the body, and that physical exercise and health eating are two of the most significant parts of living a full, good life. Both of these teachers, mentors, and friends, are true jems, and I still look to my memories of being in their classes, of sharing tea or a meal with them, for inspiration.
