James Fox
James Fox played a key role in the success of the Cranbrook hockey program in his 30 years as assistant coach.

An exemplary teacher of the game and life, "Foxy" was beloved by students and faculty for his commitment to hard work both on the ice and in the classroom.

In February 1996, Fox was killed in a helicopter crash in northern Michigan.

An annual award was established in his memory and is given to the varsity hockey player with the highest academic achievement.
