Dorothy Inglis Campbell came to Kingswood in 1950 as director of residence.

She became director of admissions in 1952 before leaving to take on a brief, four-year tenure as director of personnel at the Raytheon Company in Massachusetts.

Campbell returned to Kingswood as director of admissions and alumnae affairs. As associate director of alumni relations, Campbell did liaison work for Cranbrook and Kingswood with their respective board of trustees and the alumnae and alumni of each school. She also shared responsibility of all alumni activities and publications with Carleton McLain.
