Mr. Bowdy is a passionate and at times intense teacher who truly enjoys his craft. His students appreciate his humor in the classroom and on the volleyball court! Thanks for the memories, Senior Bowdy!

Senor Bowdy was more than a Spanish teacher. He was a counselor and a friend to any and all who needed one. His encouragement was one of the reasons I made it through Cranbrook Kingswood. His Spanish classes were not just about the language, but about the culture, the music, the people. His classes were full of history, encompassing Latinos/as around the globe.

Senor Bowdy's energy and desire to involve the students made his class informative and fun. It was always hard for me to stay focused in the afternoon, but not in Bowdy's class. I am truly thankful to have been a part of his class. Gracias por todo Senor Bowdy, sigo usando lo que aprendi de ti cada dia!

Richard Bowdy, known to me as Senor Bowdy, was the advisor for Literary Gallimaufry, a club I participated in during my junior and senior years at Cranbrook. Although I had only a year of experience in the club, Senor made me an editor for my senior year, which raised my confidence in my writing and leadership skills. The club turned out to be one of the things I most enjoyed in my experiences at Cranbrook, and much of that is due to him. He would invite us into his home for club meetings...we even had a final party where he made us all dinner. He's truly a gem at Cranbrook.

Mr. Rick Bowdy's passion for making his students aware of the struggle of the people of Nicaragua and Latin America was very impressionable. He is part of the reason why I chose to teach Spanish and Hispanic culture at the high school level.
